Lefika La Phodiso is an NGO in the inner city of Johannesburg that offers community art counselling and training.
Lefika offers the “Open Studio” programmes for children that operate throughout the week and at times during weekends and holidays. Programmes on offer include Community Art Counselling, Art Skills, Drama Therapy and Drama Club. Other programmes include a nutrition programme, opportunities for interns including art therapy students, volunteer programmes, parent and caregiver group support and supervision. The organization also offers an Arts Therapy Clinic for individual sessions with children or adults. Research and publications and workshops are also offered.
