The South African National Arts Therapies Association (SANATA) is the professional association that represents the four art therapy professions of art, music, drama and dance in South Africa.
SANATA aims to strengthen and develop the arts therapies by encouraging collaborative advocacy, lobbying, research and training. SANATA supports arts therapists through the sharing of information, professional development and networking opportunities for members. The organization also encourages the development of mutually beneficial relationships with international and local bodies. SANATA also offers an online magazine that showcases the work of South African arts therapists. Honours and masters art therapists are eligible for membership at affordable student rates.
